A report just out stating that Yorkshire Forward, the huge quango charged with reinvigorating Yorkshire, have promised to invest £6Million of our money already, into improving Scarborough.
The council will no doubt spend this at least as wisely as they have with previous money, (see item 'Gorgeous') so we can be assured of good value here!
And councillor Derek Bastiman (portfolio holder for regeneration for Scarborough) has said:
"We want to be back where we believe Scarborough belongs, queen of the coast!"
No doubt Betty Legs Diamond (star of 'Funny Girls' in Blackpool) is already quaking with fear.
